Van says that Brigham Young's perspective on Adam God (that Adam is our God and Father) was arrived at independent of Joseph Smith but this was not true as Art points out from quotes from the Journal of Wilford Woodruff and as described in quote by Joseph Smith below: "Daniel in his 7th chapter speaks of the Ancient of Days, he meant the oldest man, our Father Adam Michael who will call his children together and hold a council with them to prepare them for the coming of the Son of Man. Ms CJ I am a single mother my son is 7 years old I make above average income I am able to take my son to school each day and pick him up. I go to all of the schools functions and all of his practices and games. My family and friends are presuring me to get married so my son can have a male influence in the household. I am hearing a lot of horror stories about what happens to children raised in single parent households. My sons father is not able to be in his life and I do not know if this will ever change. My question is can a single parent raise children without them ending up on drugs or in prison?

Matt 11:27 nlt The regenerated believer is eager to know God/Yah. Every Sunday sermons are preached, and each week Bible studies are taught, expounding on the need to “KNOW GOD.” DO YOU KNOW GOD? Countless books are written, read and then put on the selfs at home and the shelves of Christian bookstores with the hope of discovering “the secret method” that will help us to really really KNOW GOD. Some of us think that knowing God is found by spending more time in prayer and having a more intimate relationship with God’s spirit and presence. Some of us feel like we must increase our time spent reading the scriptures, which will help us better understand and know Gods Word. Still others spend as much time as possible attending church services to praise and worship and adore their Creator, thereby having fellowship with Him, with the goal of getting to KNOW him! A lot of fathers are having little or no relations/interactions with their sons. A father should guide, inform, educate, have fun with and accept his son(s). At the proper age, educate your son about adulthood, manhood, fatherhood, how to treat women, how to care for himself and his family, and other such things. I have a 2 year old son by someone else (Ill call him Marcus). My husband (Ill call him Jeff) is very good to me and my son. We have no children together and Jeff has no children. Jeff spends a lot of quality time with my son and treats him as if he were his own son. He even introduces him to everyone as his son. The problem is Marcus wants to come and visit his son. Marcus does not pay child support, does not help out, does not give me money, nor has he been in his life until he recently found out I am married.
